Terrible Customer Service from FansEdge

Greg had got me a Big Ben jersey for Xmas but it was too small. So I had to return it. I looked online because I can't get that easy here and first was going to order from NFL.com but decided to go with FansEdge. They were a little cheaper on shipping. I ordered on Christmas day and got an email from them stating it would be shipped December 26th and I paid for 2 day air shipping. So I figured it would go out and I would have it Monday. WRONG -- they decided not to ship it out until Monday and so I didn't get it until Tuesday evening. So I was a little miffed that I paid $8 more to have it shipped faster and it took the same amount of time.

Of course I emailed them and was told I only did 3 day select -- not true so I responded. Of course then they change their tune and said oh well you still got it in 2 days. Except forgetting the fact that I their "processing time" took an extra 3 days -- 1 technically a business day but whatever. I also reminded them of their quick ship policy which states basically my item should have been mailed on Friday.

So they respond today and tell me that that day doesn't count so they were within their "rights". Whatever -- I won't be buying from them again!!! What horrible customer service!!

Goodbye Baseball -- HELLO Football

The weather has turned slightly cooler here. I am loving that as well and hope my allergies will be gone soon! This is my FAVORITE time of the year hands down. I love that it's getting cooler and before ya know it the snow will fly. I don't so much like the snow and the REAL cold but better than the heat of the summer. YUCK! lol

Baseball season was a TOTAL flop for me so of course football is a welcome change. Not a whole lot of hype about the Steelers this year. Of course there wasn't either the year they won the superbowl. lol My DH is a Cowgirls fan so there is always some fueding going on here. Of course -- I got to laugh the last 2 years when the cowgirls choked hehe. Doesn't matter that my teams wasnt there lol His team choked!

Gonna dig out my steelers sweatshirt soon and put on some shorts and get ready for the game. Unfortunately since I am in the midwest the game is not on TV. I really need to get a dish and get the football package. lol

Neighbors on TV

We got home last night from registering Dustin and there was a TV crew next door. My DH being the busy body that he is lol went over to see what was going on but couldn't figure it out. So I go to the back and walked out on the deck to quickly come right back in! lol There were a bunch of people and the tv crew in the back. You could see a grill and they were talking to the kids and yadda yadda. So after a bit my DH went back out with our dog - holding him and the lady comes over and says I won the grill for having the best pork chops. So they got a new grill and a back yard BBQ lol They did the weather from their yard. They invited us over but I wasn't about to be on TV! Cool eh?

Storms!

Wow a pretty intense night for storms last night. I don't know how I managed to sleep through them but I did! lol The neighbors that are kitty corner from us in the back had their a big branch fall on the fenced behind us. The fence was JUST put up yesterday. the biggest portion of the tree is in my yard though. it took out some cable to the neighbors. Waiting for them to get home so I can go talk to them. Storms have been crazy this year so far. Hope we end up with a mild winter!

Happy Independence Day!

Hope the day finds you well! Planning on heading out to my sister's later this afternoon to enjoy the evening with family and friends! They usually shoot of some fireworks but not sure they made it down to MO this year. Just have to wait and see. Most of the "good" fireworks shows were last night. We didn't go out to see any of htem. lol DH worked and Dustin wasn't overly enthused about going out.

Tomorrow -- my parents leave for their first missions trip. My mom has been packing and unpacking and repacking. lol She is worried that the rv is overloaded from all her stuff. She is a riot! I know most of it is nervous energy. They haven't done anything like this before and she is worried about leaving the family and the business behind. Kind of hard for her to let go. They will be back at the end of July for a few days and then not back again until December. Makes me kind of sad too.

Lately I have been feeling kind of blue. Nightmares about my daughter and my mom leaving and turning 40 in about a week -- guess it brings out the sadness. Either that or it's pre-menopause lol Either way it's no fun!

Next weekend we are heading down to the Royals v Mariners game in KC. We will just stay the night on the 12th -- which is actually my bday -- then come home fairly early in Sunday. My DH has to work that night!

What a great baseball year

NOT! I still am just completely at a loss at how terrible the Mariners are playing this year. Last year they came so close to making the playoffs. They added Bedard & Silva and a few other additions that seemed like such a great move! Then they started to play and it's been down hill ever since!

They are actually worse than horrible not sure what that would be exactly! lol They have the worst record in baseball and the only way you can find a team doing as poorly as they are you would have to go to single A ball - now that is bad!

They fired Bavasi yesterday. Will it help? Who knows -- I don't really think it will. I believe that the change needs to come from the players and the management that is closer to the day by day -- but that's just my opinion.

I still kind of listen but know this year is just a wash out. At least the Cubs are really kicking some butt! I have been enjoying listening to them win!

Dang that Dog!

My DH calls me around 3ish and tells me our sweet little dog got one of my razors. At first we thought it was no big deal. He calls me back a while later and it appears Jack has eaten the razor -- not just the plastic but the blades. My DH can't find them anywhere. So I tell him to phone the vet and they tell him to bring him in.

I tell one of my co-workers what our little jackster had done and he begins to tell me about a dog he had that had to be put to sleep for something similiar. So now I am anxious! I call my Dh about 10 times over the next 30 minutes waiting on the results of the xrays!

They finally get them in and NO razors! Yippee!! He probably did eat some of the plastic so they put him on a soft food diet for the next few days. I vaccumed the house to be sure that they weren't still on the phone!

He seems to be doing ok!

Another year under our belt

My DH and I celebrated our 3rd year wedding anniversary on Sunday. We have actually been together for 7 years. Hmmm 7 year itch? I don't think so lol I wonder if that basically applies to younger couples? Who knows!! We went out on Friday night and spent the evening away from the kids -- my son and our furbabies. We had a nice time. Got up too early on Saturday though!

Maybe one of these days I can actually get a picture of him and I and post it up. Might keep some of the crazies away lol

UPDATE on Jack!

Time for some new Jack pictures! He has grown quite a bit and I think he may FINALLY be done growing. If he is what he is supposed to be he is very much on the big side of the Toy Fox Terrier. He weighs just about 14lbs. We just took him in to be fixed this week. Hope it will calm him down a little bit anyway lol Not sure if it has yet.

The botom picture is how he looks at you sometimes if you whistle or make a strange noise he isn't used to! lol What a cutie he is!

Mother's Day

Next weekend in Mother's Day. At the church that my mother attends they usually have a mother/daugher banqute of some sort. This year they decided to have a coffee. It was this morning - so I went with my mother and 2 of my nieces. My other niece couldn't attend and my SIL didn't go nor did my sister.

The speaker this year is a woman by the name of Gracia Burnham. Her and her husband were missionaries down in the Phillipines for about 17 years. In May of 2001 - they had a quick 24 hour get away for their anniversary. Never did they imagine what would happen on that trip.

They were kidnapped at gunpoint by an Abu Sayyaf Group, a militant group of Muslims. They spent the next 376 days in captivity and traveled throughout the jungle. Facing many gun battles along the way. The finaly gun battle they faced was the one the ended with Gracia being wounded and her husband Martin being killed.

She came to tell her story about the trials that she went through during this time and the way that God helped her and her husband survive during those times. She is an amazing speaker. I would imagine she has probably told her story literally thousdands of times and she still gets teared up about and it still touches her soul. There wasn't a dry eye in the place.

Something's up???

About 3 weeks ago my DH got the magazing ESPN in the mail. About 2 days later we get the bill - thanking us for subscribing. Huh?? WE didn't subscribe. I thought well we just did MLB.com so maybe it's something with that but no.

Anyway on Satuday we get a package. I open it and inside The Pursuit of Happiness and our brand new subscription to Columbia. WTH? My DH does NOT watch movies lol EVER! My son and I do but we didn't do it and they came in his name.

So I put in a call to ESPN and waiting ot hear from them. I had DH call Columbia today and tell them he didn't sign up. They said that was fine and they cancelled him and he can keep the movie.

But what I wanna know is who is signing him up for all this crap. He works at Pizza Hut with a lot of younger kids and some other guys that I could see pulling a stunt like this. It isn't very funny though and I am scared to see what is going to show up next!

1 Year Anniversary

Ok I am a day late posting but I reached my 1 Year mark of not smoking! WOW -- it's hard to believe. There are still moments I want a cig but for the most part they pass by rahter quickly. I still have fidgety moments as well but I am sure that is to be expected after smoking for about 20 years or so!

Just wanted to toot my own horn!
